Our preschool is situated in its own setting, across the road from our nursery and within the grounds of St. Nicholas School. Not only does this allow children the opportunity to feel a sense of ownership and appreciation for to their own environment, but also gives them a taster of belonging to a school community – something that our preschool children love!
Whilst following our early years curriculum, there is so many opportunities to allow are children to safely discover the wonder of our outside community, from the natural environment to the local services that our community provides. We take great pride in introducing new concepts to our children during our themed weeks and ensure that every experience is grounded in a sense of magical play.

An extensive range of beautiful books and resources that are changed regularly to facilitate an exciting and stimulating environment that fits in with the theme of the week.
Outdoor fun in our preschool outdoor learning areas, which include our all weathered canopied area, big wooden climbing castle, sand and water areas, our summer house, wild area and allotment.
Fun and friendship with children and adults to develop their spoken language, listening skills and self-confidence.
Activities expertly planned to meet the development and curiosity of our preschool aged children
Trips and visits to extend children’s experience in their local environment
Cooking activities with our resident chef who helps our children to have a fun and healthy relationship with the food they cook and eat.
Children who attend our preschool also can join in with additional weekly activities that are led by our wonderful experts. These include our music lessons; multi sports activity session; dance and movement time, and our drama sessions. These extra activities are an excellent addition to our children’s weekly activities.
